02 What decides it

Choosing between these PASMAN bags

Two numbers decide which one you want. The first is wheels: five is the narrower frame for flat ground and an elevator, six is the cluster that rolls over the edge of a step instead of stopping on it, which is what you want if there are stairs between the car and the kitchen. The second is litres. The small holds what two supermarket bags hold, the medium about four, the large closer to seven, and wherever a size has a litre figure it is printed rather than described as roomy.

Folded, all of them go down to roughly the thickness of a laptop bag, with the zip cover still attached to the frame so there is nothing to lose in the garage. On the plain five- and six-wheel carts the base lifts out, which is the part that lets the whole thing flatten. Standing, the medium is around 22 inches tall and the large around 26: the difference between lifting it into a trunk loaded and rolling it to the car and unpacking there. One cart here changes the handle rather than the wheels: a five-wheel medium with a metal pull bar, for anyone whose heels have met a fabric strap on a slope.

That is 5 bags and 11 colourways, drawn from the PASMAN range rather than from a seasonal drop.

Questions

Questions about PASMAN Rolling Grocery Cart

How many wheels do you need on a PASMAN grocery cart?

Five if you mostly roll it on flat ground and want the narrower frame. Six if you meet curbs and steps, where the extra cluster rolls over the edge instead of stopping on it.

What else will you carry in a PASMAN rolling cart?

Laundry, a market haul, a case of drinks, boxes on a moving day. The base is removable, so it flattens when it is empty.

Will the handle on a PASMAN cart come up to your height?

It telescopes, so the pull height suits a tall person and a short walk to the car equally.
